Selective Startup in Windows 8 & 10

Some third-party programs running in the background can interfere with the normal functionality of Grey Box games, and may even prevent them from running at all. By temporarily disabling these programs from booting, they can be eliminated as the source of the problem. There are multiple ways that this can be approached.

You can disable all startup programs using selective startup, or disable some of them using the startup utility.  Note: Disabling all startup programs may disable your internet adapter.  You may have to re-enable the adapter manually after restart if you cannot connect to the internet.
